ਲੂਸੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਘਟਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਦੀ ਗਲਤੀ 'ਤੇ ਮੁਆਫੀਆਂ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦੀ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨਾਲ ਬ੍ਰਿਟੇਨ ਵਿਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਵੱਈਆ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਲੂਸੀ ਦਾ ਬਲਾਗ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਈ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜੇ। ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੁਆਫੀਆਂ ਮੰਗੀਆਂ। ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ, 'ਇਸ ਇਕ ਹਰਕਤ ਨੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਸਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਕ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਵੀ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਲਿਆ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।'
